I delude my own inner thought conscious for a brief moment while I take a trip down memory lane. Because these memories are being created live and direct, in the her3 and the now baby. Just letting these thumbs unveil the messages of time. What an evening it has been and yet even that more of a day in its entirety. I demoralize the perilous journey thus taken so far as to begin to express the absolute filth in the highest regard about the excellence of the dj’s this evening at Frankford Ave’s, and apparently recently renovated, The Barbary. An iconic venue in my own heart right. To date, one of my more memorable moments in concert history was down at The Barbary circa, maybe 2010 or 11, honestly a long strange trip indeed. But I went down to Frankford Ave on a cold winter night and saw one of my favorite metal core bands crush that venue. Although it was very much so in a different arrangement, the layout that is. Where the current dj booth resides used to hold claim to the bar tenants. And upstairs, well I never made it that far in the rabbit hole. And I say rabbit hole by no small measure. That place will suck you in lost in time and space… until security tells me I can’t “fling them around in here,” he spoke in regards to my poi. I more recently began “flinging.” Like I get it, it’s part of the job, but like come on, Barbary, really? No burners or like burners in disguise type vibes, lol. Who knows?

but I digress and thank the good god the selectas was there to bring me back to the cosmos of electronic dance filth. Shout out Patrick Richards for bringing me out there and finally get to see one of your headlined sets. Shout out Justin Martin for making that downstairs jump the way I remember that venue jumping back when For All I Am was blowing my mind on that beautiful luscious 360 sound 15 years ago! Blast it on high, make tha speakas go Wild! Future vision feeling so very fly!
